RVCC Foundation Board Welcomes New Members

Area residents Allan Boomer, Colleen Cunniffe, and Alina Klein have been named to the Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) Foundation Board of Directors.

Boomer, a resident of Somerset, is the Managing Partner of Momentum Advisors, an investment management and financial planning firm with offices in New York City and Somerset. His first job on Wall Street was in the mail room at Merrill Lynch, and he went on to become a Vice President at Goldman Sachs by the age of 29. Boomer previously served as the Chairman of the NYU Stern School of Business Alumni Board and as a member of the NYU Stern Board of Overseers. He currently Chairs the Board of Trustees of Good Shepherd Church in Newark.  He received a BS in Marketing from Morgan State University and an MBA in Finance from the NYU Stern School of Business.

Cunniffe, a resident of Califon, is Senior Vice President of Finance at Verizon. In that role she is responsible for strategic and financial planning for the Corporate Marketing, Technology, and Administrative organizations. Cunniffe began her career with Bell Atlantic in 1987, holding positions in accounting operations and internal audit, and serving as the Controller for several small Bell Atlantic-owned software companies. A Certified Public Accountant, she received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the College of William & Mary.

Klein, a resident of Bridgewater, is Senior Financial Advisor/Assistant Vice President at The Lee Klein Group, Global Wealth Management, Merrill Lynch. She began her financial services career in 1998, after 25 years in materials management for a large pharmaceutical company, and joined Merrill Lynch in 2007. She was recently nominated to the United Way National Women's Leadership Council. Klein previously sat on the Board of Directors for the Somerset County Business Partnership and founded the group’s Women in Business special interest group. She received a BS in Business Administration from Marymount College.

As the fundraising arm of Raritan Valley Community College, the RVCC Foundation engages individuals, local businesses, corporations, and other foundations in philanthropic activities to help ensure the College continues to provide high quality education at an affordable cost. It also supports the College's standing as a premier academic institution and a source of culture and continuing education in Somerset and Hunterdon counties.
