RVCC Beats Morris in 11 Innings

The Raritan Valley Golden Lions Baseball team was able to secure their first Conference and Region 19 victory of the season by defeating The County College of Morris Titans in 11 innings.

The Lions were fueled behind the arm of Eric Drzewiecki and nearly every member of the RV team was able to contribute offensively.  Both teams were on the board exchanging runs after the first inning.

The next couple innings were back and forth with strong efforts from both pitchers and solid defensive play.  Going into the 8th inning the Golden Lions found themselves down by 2 runs and that's when the bats really woke up.

Alex Lorecame up huge for RV delivering a hit which scored the tying runs.  Once again the bats of RV got going in the 11th inning and were able to secure the game winning run.

Drzewiecki was phenomenal on the mound going 11 innings strong and getting his first career victory.  The Golden Lions scattered over 10 hits as a team led by Alex Lore delivering 3 himself.
