RVCC to Offer Free Workshops for Adult Learners

Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) will host several free workshops sponsored by its Encore program, which focuses on adult learners ages 50 and older. All workshops will be held in RVCC’s Conference Center Computer Lab, at the College’s Branchburg Campus.

The following workshops are designed to introduce the popular features of Microsoft Word and Excel:

Microsoft Word: Tuesday, April 21, from 6-9 p.m.

Microsoft Excel: Tuesday, April 28, from 6-9 p.m.

A final workshop, Introduction to Social Media, will be held Tuesday, May 5, from 6-9 p.m. The workshop offers basic information about social media and how to use such social media sites as Facebook and LinkedIn. It also provides assistance on how to market oneself using social media.

The Encore program also provides a variety of resources for older job seekers, including assistance with midlife career planning and transitioning to new careers.
