Hunterdon Chamber Radio Hosts Amanda DeMartino

Amanda DeMartino, Director of Athletics was recently featured on The Hunterdon County Chamber Radio Show.  The interview ran for nearly an hour and discussed in detail DeMartino's background, why she chose RVCC, the current sports scene and the future of Raritan Valley Athletics.

DeMartino was a former four-year letter winner at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA and after graduation immediately began a career in college athletics as the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Northwood University in West Palm Beach, FL.  After a couple years in coaching DeMartino transitioned into an administrative role and was named Director of Athletics in the Fall 2009.

After a two year stint she accepted her current position as Director of Athletics at RVCC.  DeMartino stated her biggest factor behind selecting RVCC was "The campus.  When I first got here I was sold.  It has a tremendous campus and at the time the opportunity to rebuild the athletic program. And, that's just what we've been doing over the past 3 years."  Raritan Valley Community College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association. Currently RVCC offers 9 intercollegiate sports played at the NJCAA Division II and Division III level.  Clink the link below to listen to the full length interview.
