Men's Soccer Hosts Player ID Camp

RVCC Men's Soccer hosted the College's first-ever Player ID Camp on April 25th.  The camp, designed to showcase Raritan Valley to potential soccer student-athletes, attracted high school seniors and potential transfer students from Manville, Delaware Valley, North Plainfield, Middlesex, Phillipsburg, Hillsborough and several other surrounding school districts.

After several down years, Golden Lions men's soccer remains focused on recapturing the success that made RVCC a regional power in the 1980s & 90s.  "I was impressed with the ability of the players who attended today." said head coach Gerry Montague.  "We've had great teams here in the past, the college is steadily improving our facilities and the talent level in the surrounding area has only gotten better.  The camp helped demonstrate why RVCC is an outstanding choice both educationally and athletically.  Transforming the program starts with recruiting student-athletes who are equal parts talented and committed, I'm excited about the impact the incoming class of 2015 will have on our program."
Men's Soccer tryouts begin Tuesday, August 11th.  The Golden Lions open the 2015 season at Camden County College on August 29th.  Follow RVCC Athletics online at
