Welcome to a New Year at The Record

Welcome students, faculty, staff and other readers of The Raritan Valley Record to the start of the Fall 2015 semester. I would like to introduce myself as the new Editor-In-Chief of The Record.

I am looking forward to a busy year at The Record and would like to invite all students of Raritan Valley Community College to our weekly meetings every Tuesday, 1-2:20 p.m in room H116.

This year we will be presenting contests on our Facebook. Be sure to like our page so you can see when we start giveaways. We have already secured prizes that include autographed CDs, comedy show tickets and books. If you would like to donate to our giveaways contact us at RVCCTheRecord@gmail.com.

Our Classifieds is one of the sections that requires content provided by you, the reader. Are you trying to sell a book or other item? Want to tutor students? Looking for a carpool? Looking for someone to fill a job? Recruiting members for your band? Send your ad to RVCCTheRecord@gmail.com.

Another section that requires your content is RVCC Websites. In this section we will post links to blogs, websites, social media pages or any Internet location that pertains to RVCC. The content can discuss clubs, classes, college departments or athletics—as long as it is about RVCC.

News tips, story suggestions or event listings can be sent to RVCCTheRecord@gmail.com. Hope you continue to enjoy The Record!

The Record
The Raritan Valley Record / RVCCTheRecord.com
The Record is Raritan Valley Community College's independent online student newspaper. The Record provides a medium for information on all things related to the college community as well as an outlet for students to practice writing skills. The mission of The Record is to encourage student involvement in campus activities and publicize matters of concern to the college community.
Founded in 1988, The Record was distributed as a print-publication until switching to an exclusively online format in 2006. Due to a lack of funds, The Record has been on hiatus from 2011-2013. The Record continues to report online today, evolving to meet the continually changing demands of the news industry.
